Hello, my name is Calle Nova, and I am a Size 10, out of work actress, trying to break into the Film Business. Turns out, I’m not the “right size” in a culture that is obsessed by size and beauty. I am not the only woman who is effected by those images of gorgeous models and famous movie stars we see gracing the magazines in the grocery store aisles.
In The World of Holly Woodlands, our society’s ideal beauty is a Size 18! Women who are magnificent, voluptuous, curvaceous and Cusha.
I have created this blog, to give what I call, the “Holly Woodlands Phenomenon” a voice. Through interviews, documentary footage and undercover cameras, I have captured some of the truth and chaos of a world that is enslaved by it’s strive toward becoming beautiful.
Join me on my journey as I dive into “The World of Holly Woodlands.”

Blog Entry 1: The Cusha Actress vs The Uncusha Actress (Calle wishes to thank her acting teacher Bob Mable and everyone at “Film for the Arts” for letting her shoot for her acting blog. And a special shout out to her friend Marni for helping her and Noah film that day. Thanks guys!
Blog Entry 2: To Be or Not To Be Bingia…That is the Question (Congratulations on getting the role, Anna! Anna is our roommate.) Oh, I forgot to mention that the music I used in this blog entry was from one of my most favorite artists ever, Jean Marie Henry. 1st Song- Manic Depressant 2nd Song-Peace of Mind
Blog Entry 3: I’d Kill to be Beautiful (Warning: Language may be unsuitable for young viewers.) This is the fuel that really inspired this blog to explode. Calle wishes to thank Mary and Tim Bears. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time.

Blog Entry 6: “Cusha Drama” – One of my best friends, Robin, who always gets the leads in the school plays finds out that she is not playing “Juliet,” in “Romeo and Juliet.” :) We love you Cusha Queen!
Blog Entry 7: “Anna Bingia” - Noah and I confront our roommate Anna on Bingia. This changes everything. Is it true that the truth (or “truce” as my friend, Mike says it) will set you free? I guess we’ll find out. We love you, Anna! (Watch: To Be or Not To Be Bingia…That is the Question- to better understand this webisode.)
Blog Entry 8: Soap Opera Overdose
This is one of the craziest Blog Entries to date! (Even Noah is excited about this one.) I scored an interview with the Soap Star of “Plush Life,” Ginger Tobias. After reading the tabloids about the rumors that Ginger had passed out on set due to an over dose of C-Pills, I knew I had to get an interview. Turns out, we have the same agent, Mimi Starkins. Mimi gave me her email address. And what followed was completely bazaar…
Blog Entry 9- Typecast
Calle gets called in to meet with her agent, Mimi Starkins, who gives her an ultimatum. Gain weight or find another agent. It’s just business! Mimi also has a couple of surprises up her sleeve. Calle drags Noah along to film.
Blog Entry 10- C-Pills
Calle scores a fashion session with Fashion Extraordinaire, Darren Cyler. He’s going to help her dress more cusha and give her a fuller look for her acting career. So, where do the C-Pills fit in? (No pun intended.) And of course Darren tries to flirt with Noah. :)
Blog Entry 11- The Uncusha Actress
The miserable, uncusha, Selena, finally gets her opportunity to act in a romantic scene with her crush, Cusha Lover, Mike Rostami. Enough said.
The Most CUSHA Blog Entry of them all~ So, Far-Number 12- I Guess I’m Not Cushable Enough
I flew solo for this one. Noah wanted to go on a date with his, pretty, uncusha, girlfirend, Corina. (No offence.) And I had some instincts on how the Cusha World effected the social life of a young person in it’s social habitat. Thanks for letting me use the camera, Noah. I took good care of it. 
BLOG ENTRY 13: CASTING CUSHA- 1
My friend Marni helped Noah and I smuggle undercover cameras into Casting Headquarters. You are not going to believe what we captured. Marni was also able to get the Casting Directors to sign wavers and they didn’t even know it. Robin, Ella and Ginger Tobias even stop by for an audition. Ah…I think you could call it an audition.
Blog Entry 14 and 15: Cusha in Love, and Love in Cusha- Part 1 and 2
Part 1, focuses on Danny and Noah’s take on the male opinion on the cusha world. But, things get uncomfortable for Noah when I ask him point blank if Corina, his pretty, un-cusha girlfriend ever asks him that loaded question, “HONEY, DO I LOOK FAT? DO I LOOK CUSHA ENOUGH IN THIS OUTFIT?” I wanted to know how he answers her. Is he honest, does he lie, does he dodge the question? Danny and I get an answer, but not the answer we expect. In Part 2, I set Noah up, and have Corina ask him if she looks fat. I of course am filming close by. My instincts are correct. What transpires is what I suspected all along.
Blog Entry 16: Rehab
Calle and Noah go visit, their roommate, Anna, at Eat Well Rehab. Anna let’s them on a a secret, there’s a famous Cusha Star also currently residing at Rehab. Will she be up for an interview for Calle’s blog?
Blog Entry 17: Plush in Padette
Kristy is a friend of mine from “Film for the Arts.” She is a recovering Binge eater. The girl wore a Padette to audition for the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. She got the understudy, but apparently the Padette wasn’t enough…
Blog Entry 18: Cusha Convo I
Calle gets her best friends together for a conversation on what it’s like to be a girl in the Cusha World. ~All it’s trials and tribulations.

The conversations continue as we discover how Calle gets some of the ideas for some of her previous blog entries. A surprise guest arrives!
Blog Entry 20: Undercover and Uncusha:
Calle and Noah continue to let the cameras roll at Film for the Arts, all to prove one point…that the Cusha Factor does effect the dynamics of a young person in it’s social Habitat. Raina Garbo shares a secret with with Selena about Danny. Eddie finally summons up the courage to ask Uncusha Laura out. And what dirt will Noah capture on Guest teacher, Phillipe Andreas? Pure Cusha Scandal!

Calle’s undercover cameras reveal the secrets of Casting Headquarters in the Cusha World. Holly Woodlands herself crashes a casting session, and a cush-ish actress’ audition tape pops up.
Final Blog Entry 23: Trouble in Uncusha Paradise, dun, dun dun…:
You are not going to believe this! While filming the intro to vlog entry, “Typecast,” Noah captures what seems to be a figure from the past. Now that the Cusha World has been revealed, the lives of “Holly Woodlands,” are about to intertwine, in ways that will change everything! The Season 1 cliffhanger, will leave us with so many questions and will pave the way to an exciting, Season 2!

Posted on March 17, 2011My name is Calle Nova and I am a Size 10, out of work, actress. My agent thinks I’m not getting work, because I need to look more like the images on the magazines you see in the grocery store check out aisles.
I’m happy with the way I look and I feel healthy. So, instead of conforming or even striving to look like our society’s definition of beauty, I have chosen to create a blog, that is dedicated to giving, what I call, “The Holly Woodlands Phenomenon,” a voice.
I will be posting video blogs, interviews, chats, anything that is applicable to the Calle Acting Blog and The World of Holly Woodlands. Stay tuned!…
